First issue of Digest focused on promoting thought leadership and subject matter expertise of the College of Law Practice Management |
InsideLegal, an insider's guide to doing business in law practice management, today introduced its Thought Leadership Program (TLP), a multifaceted initiative including thought leadership-focused education & accreditation; awards & recognition; market surveys & research, and thought leader events & workshops. The first TLP deliverable is the InsideLegal Thought Leaders Digest, College of Law Practice Management (COLPM) Issue.
The 24 page COLPM-themed digest was produced to specifically promote the thought leadership, innovation and expertise of COLPM Fellows and will be distributed at its annual Futures Conference, October 28-29, Chicago-Kent School of Law in Chicago.
Since its inception in 2004, InsideLegal has maintained its mission of promoting law practice management as well as the practice of law and legal innovations via original content, market research, trends, thought leadership and select events. Within the last three years, InsideLegal has stepped up efforts to advocate and promote legal thought leadership with programs such as Ignite Law, the "In Their Own Words" law firm leaders series, and the introduction of thought leadership-themed panel discussions as part of its ILTA vendor education program and at ABA TECHSHOW. InsideLegal's Thought Leaders Digest is the latest effort and first project of the newly created TLP.
InsideLegal's Thought Leaders Digest is a digital publication consisting of concise articles, essays, ‘ask the experts' questions, and commentary addressing law practice-specific and legal profession spanning topics and themes. The COLPM issue spotlights members' (COLPM Fellows) legal expertise and knowledge of the profession while introducing COLPM to a wider, international legal audience. The Digest includes critical essays by Jordan Furlong, Marc Lauritsen, Ron Staudt, Ron Friedmann, Kendal Tyre, Tony Williams, Ed Poll, Ida Abbott, Marcia Wasserman, Burkey Belser, and Caren Ulrich Stacy. An ‘Ask the Fellows' series includes questions provided by Richard Susskind, Matt Homann, Toby Brown, Jobst Elster and JoAnna Forshee with corresponding answers by dozens of COLPM Fellows.
"The College of Law Practice Management has always prided itself in advocating innovation, creativity and excellence in law practice management through its various programs and initiatives," stated COLPM president, attorney, arbitrator and mediator,
K. William Gibson. "With that said, we are extremely pleased to have partnered with InsideLegal to highlight and promote the thought leadership and expertise of our Fellows as showcased in the inaugural InsideLegal Thought Leaders Digest".
"We feel very strongly about advocating thought leadership within the legal profession and believe that InsideLegal's Thought Leadership Program is the most focused and effective way to not only recognize those that are already leading the way but also develop a breeding ground for future legal thought leaders - that's precisely why we are first launching the InsideLegal Thought Leaders Digest, COLPM issue," stated JoAnna Forshee, CEO, InsideLegal. "Receiving my vote for ‘best kept secret in legal', the COLPM Fellows are the ‘who's who' of law practice management and as an organization deserve increased exposure and recognition for what they do for the advancement of law practice management."
InsideLegal is a platinum sponsor of the COLPM and their annual InnovAction Awards.
